New Albany, In. -?Be the match. Save a life. Thousands of patients with blood cancers such as leukemia or lymphoma depend on the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry to find a match to save their life.
The Floyd Memorial Cancer Center of Indiana will host a bone marrow registry drive on Thursday, February 7 from 3 p.m.?to 7 p.m. to sign up community members interested in joining the registry. People between 18 and 44 years of age who meet health guidelines and are willing to donate their bone marrow if a genetic match is found are encouraged to participate.
Joining the registry is quick and painless-it only takes a simple cheek swab to potentially save a life. No appointment necessary. For more information on the Be the Match Registry, visit www.marrow.org.
