March 15, New Mexico Philharmonic Fundraiser; silent auction, fun competitions, prizes & more

New Mexico Philharmonic and and its event sponsor, Integrated Control Systems, welcomes everyone to attend an exciting fundraiser at the KiMo Theater on March 15, 2012 from 6am to 7pm which aims at helping to spur on the success of Albuquerque?s own symphony orchestra.

The 13-hour Philarmonithon fundraiser will showcase lots of live entertainment, equip with a singing competition, costume contest, silent auction and interaction with Classical 95.5 KHFM.

In celebration of the? St. Patrick?s Day theme of ?Sharin'o' the Green, the event will feature two fun competitions with great prizes.

The first is a competition for all AMATEUR songsters ages 18 and up who will perform their best rendition of the perennial Irish favorite, ?Danny Boy,? a cappella. (Only 20 entries accepted on a first-come/first-serve basis).

The second competition will be a costume contest entitled ?Wearin'o' the Green? which is open to all age groups. Great prizes will be awarded to the top three costumes that best represents the traditional holiday.

The silent auction of valuable items will be conducted both on-line at www.nmphil.org and at the KiMo. The auction will go live a week prior to the event date on the orchestra's website to increase bidding interest on the items.
