Some things to know about masticating juicers: they have a slower rpm (designed like this specially to create high quality juice from vegetables), it has a powerful motor, juices wheatgrass and leafy greens well, can be used for other functions like creating baby food and fruit sorbet, and more expensive than centrifugal juicers.

Twin gear juicers (trituration) operate at the lowest rpm rate (between 80 and 110) resulting in the most efficient juice yield with the least amount of foam and heat created. This juicer presses the produce between two interlocking roller gears to extract juice from the produce. Some things to know about twin gear juices: has the slowest rpm, has attachments for fruits with hard exteriors, it has other food processing abilities (like creating baby food and pasta), it works well for juicing wheatgrass and other leafy greens and is the most expensive type of juicer available.

And finally there is a citrus juicer. These can be manually operated or motorized. By first cutting the produce (like a lemon or grapefruit) and then pressing it into the reamer, the juicer rotates back and forth extracting the juice. This type of juicer works better on citrus fruits than other available juicers.
